Video Production I - Lights, Camera, Action!
In this workshop children (ages 7- 12) will be introduced to video production in a fun hands-on learning experience.  They will learn basic procedures of creating a video program as they work on two video projects. Each student will create their own autobiography video project. Under the supervision of a professional producer, students will research, formulate questions and interview a "living legend" at the end of the workshop.

Video Production for Teens- Keep the Tape Rolling!
In this eye-opening workshop teenagers will be introduced to the art of communications and video production. Class sessions will include lectures, interviews, writing and video equipment training.  Under the supervision of a professional producer, students will work together and produce segments for the show Atlanta Teens Today.  This local show is designed to inform teenagers about positive programs, people and places in metro Atlanta.  The exciting and informative new show, hosted by teens, will air on Comcast Channel 25.  This workshop is sponsored in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts.

International Video Project: Building Bridges & Connecting Cultures
In this workshop students will learn about different cultures and the basic procedures of creating a video as they work on producing a video letter to send to a child in another country.  This workshop is sponsored in part by the non-profit organization Children of the Birth.

Editing I - It's a Wrap!
In this creative workshop students will learn the fundamentals of editing. They will practice the basic concepts of editing as they learn how to edit on Apples I-Movie software.

Public Speaking - Speak Up!
In this workshop students will learn the art of public speaking. Participates will learn the fundamental skills of speaking as they write and present three speeches.

Our professional media instructors will come to your facility to teach.

Kids Video Connection, founded in 2004, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational art organization.  Please contact us to get more information about workshops and fees. In an effort to reach children from every economic background, we work to keep the cost affordable. In the past, we have received grants to help supplement production cost and to reduce the rate for organizations and churches that serve under-privileged children. Please inquire about potential grant funding for your organization.
